So I just completed switching over to the Family plan and hove discovered something that is a bit disconcerting: Anyone in your Family Group can use the “Family Payment Method” to make purchases from the Google Play Store. The only thing they can’t do is make in-app purchases—as it should be. There seems to be no way…
You just gave me an idea for restoring my ra29.........
Not strictly a man room! My girlfriend helped!
Yes, my girlfriend is on the Carolina Rollergirls. She was pretty happy they were showing it on ESPN this year :)
If you mean the old vacuum next to the TV, then yes. I turn old stuff like that I find into lamps, that’s one that is in-progress. It’s basically done, just trying to find the right shade for it. The old projector on the shelf has been converted into one as well.
The fireplace looks good! I like that flooring you’ve got in there too. I some hickory would look good in there. It’s hard to go wrong with the wood/metal combo. If you have any reuse warehouses in your area I bet you could find a nice thick old board, throw some short legs on it and have a nice cheap entertainment…
This is perhaps not my best DIY project, but it’s definitely one of my favorites and one that stands out every time I sit in my living room. I Picked up an old truck box at an estate sale and turned it into an entertainment center. I like it much better than anything I could have bought & it’s sturdier and looks much…
I think he broke it.
I’ve been pretty happy and impressed with Yummly. The only thing missing is the ability to share TO the Yummly app from other apps on your phone (ie-find a recipe in Feedly, hit share & send it to Yummly.) Other than that I use the bookmarklet in chrome and it works great. Now I just need to actually USE some of the…
Sierra Nevada, Oskar Blues and New Belgium all have breweries in or around the Asheville, NC area now, so you could knock all those out in one go if you wanted.
In my case: A lumberjack. I have a beard, and already wear plaid button down shirts and jeans anyway. All I have to to is tuck my shirt in, put on some suspenders and a beanie and I’m all set.
Nothing wrong with the bus, looks like very well done restoration (not so sure about the use of OSB inside....) Crack pipe just because of the price. Should be sub 20k for sure, I can see it bringing somewhere between 10-20k simply because it’s a split window.
Tried it, meh. It does have useful features but I have a feeling that, if anything, these features will just be integrated into Gmail. Inbox is just going to be another one of those Google products that fizzles out and ends up getting cannibalized and shunted into other products.
I like it, I’ve done a few mods to my Element to make it more comfortable on cross country road trips, and I’ve actually done a trip in a Previa before—but this is asking too much for one; even with AllTrac and supercharger.
If only we actually HAD a law for the left lane in NC.....I’m always instantly frustrated when I get back to NC after driving cross country. So. Damn. Annoying. Not to mention dangerous.
Also, stay the hell away from mud if you can unless you have a vehicle built to handle it. I made the mistake of trying to run my ‘93 4runner through a mud pit without inspecting the pit first and got it super stuck including 3” of water standing in the cab JUST before a massive tuunderstorm forced me to abandon in…
I was able to get my job to pay for a sit/stand desk, which I see as the best of both worlds. I had been using a makeshift desktop standing desk, which basically only lifted my keyboard and forced me to still look down at my monitors, which I had to angle upward. I knew I wanted to be able to sit or stand whenever I…
Yeah, GP would an an option, but our department just isn’t that big, plus we fall under the scope of the larger IT department for the University I work for so a lot of the GP stuff is managed at a higher level. It’d be more trouble than it’s worth to request the changes or get the permissions to do it myself. I may…
I started a side business doing computer repair before I started working in IT. That’s actually what helped me get the job; most of the people in my department were already bringing me their personal computers to fix anyway, so when the job opened up everyone already knew that I knew what I was doing.
