Agree. The weak point of both these (and every other car mount) is the suction cup. I'll stick with the cd slot mount thankyouverymuch.

I got one of these too. I've gone through a ton of mounts over the years and this one is by far the best. It does get loose once in a while, but it beats having a suction mount fall off the windshield all the time and eventually not working at all. I never really listen to CDs anymore anyway, and it puts the mount…

Oh look, a new Beetle that men might actually buy....
I was looking at his site earlier today, it would be awesome if something like this was made, but it never will be—at least not for a looooong time. Would make a nice little offroad VW-esque van.....I'd buy me one of these "baja buses" :D
This happened to my dad's best friend just after high school. He took a motorcycle for a test ride around the block & they found him not too long after he left in a field just around the corner....sad. One of the reasons I'd probably be disowned if I ever got a motorcycle.
3 hours in Home Depot? How about 30 minutes?
Capitalism, beeyotch!
How many hours would you say you had in the project?
I love Top Gear, but is it really that big of a surprise? They make fun of Americans all the time and don't take political correctness all that seriously.....let's face it, they drive cars that most people can't afford for a living, I don't really expect them to be politically correct, or really care all that much…
"Down at the country club" is right. I don't quite see the point of sitting in the passenger seat and driving the vehicle from a tablet—never mind what it'll do for driver response times, tho I suppose all the other fancy sensors and electronics make up for that. Still, nice gimmick Land Rover *applause*
So......$820 out of every 2 week pay period....guess I should stop paying my mortgage and buying food so I can save for retirement instead. I'm glad I have other retirement vehicles in place, but I have a feeling that the average American does not.
I tried this a couple years ago, works great. Great minds think alike! :)
These are the ugliest vehicles I have ever seen, VWs look fine without all the fiberglass crap.
Right there with ya! I've got a '93 which is currently having hot starting issues, but it runs great once you can get it started! A little starting fluid in the air cleaner does the trick :D Thankfully mine had the head recall done on it too. Just a few more days until the trails at Uwharrie NF are open!
I have a 1977 liftback that's in great shape. I just wish the Japanese style bumpers weren't so damn hard to find b/c the American style ones are ugly as all hell....
That's one hell of a deathtrap....
DERP!
OK, yeah the Mazda pulled out in front of the Lambo—I'm guessing the person driving the Mazda probably thought they had plenty of time to turn & the guy in the Lambo just happened to decide to show off at that moment. Let's not forget that they accelerate FAST. Purely speculation.
Ok, I agree, except for one thing: She wasn't in the lane too long—she was passing the flatbed. As soon as she passed the flatbed, the guy shot over into the right lane to get next to her and give her the finger for and extended period of time....was she supposed to just ram into him so she could get back into the…
