Well, it was an older version I tried, so maybe it's gotten easier by now (I've seen posts about Amahi on Lifehacker since well before it moved to Kinja.....) It just wasn't capable of doing all the things I want my server to do. It's just hard to beat the availability of software for Windows, as has always been the

I've tried Amahi again and again over the years, just too much of a pain to set up. Regular old Windows 7 with Plex, Private Internet Access, Utorrent, Media Center Master and TeamViewer for remote access (the machine sits in a closet,) has done the trick for me for 2 years now with minimal maintenance. Plus, I use

The Pao almost looks like something that could have been designed today. I kinda like it....

Of course, just because I haven't seen any snow doesn't mean much. That's like the people who say climate change isn't happening because it's cold TODAY....

Yeeeaah....I'm in NC. Still at work, haven't seen a single flake. But yes. The South can't handle snow. The overreaction has begun. This sums it up pretty well:

Meh. I'd rather have one of these:

I had a user tell me that one of the computers was frozen and he couldn't get it to work. I went back to take a look and was able to fix the problem by turning the computer ON.....

Awww man....Looks like no 2wd on the podium this year....

Continuing to film was clearly more important than—ya know—helping. At least everyone was ok.

Actually looks like a pretty good idea. It looks to me like the louvers slide up and away on a track. I'm betting it may help with fuel economy when in use. Pretty much just a shell you can quickly fold away.

Silly French-Canadians....

People in NC are the worst when it comes to even a LITTLE bit of winter-ish weather. plenty of overreacting, braking on ice, going too slow or too fast.

Oh man. My buddy used to have a Daytona. It sat in his garage for a couple years before his Grandma finally paid to get it running when he got his license. It was appropriately titled "the bluntmobile." Many foggy times were had in that car....THIS would be a step up—bluntmobile—IN THE WOODS.

Hipsta-retro-picsta-matic. Vintage.

Made by my roommate. Simple. Once I get my Coin card I'll be all set!

*drool*

Haha, nah. Materials science.

Hey, my brother is an engineering student but thought you were supposed to put oil in your car through the dipstick hole....he would pour it in the cap of the oil container then pour it in the dipstick hole. Funniest thing I've ever seen.

Funny, people always seem to want to borrow your truck when you own one.....some people got stuff to move on a regular basis, like those of us that have to haul our own shit to the recycling center. I'd rather not have nasty trash juice in the back seat of my car....

Great idea, makes too much sense tho. They'll never do it.
