As a Georgia resident seeing all these out-of-staters comment on just pay the the “tax” it’s pretty ridiculous. They have no clue about our laws here. They literally screw over anyone who lives here whether you have a old beater or brand new super car. The part the grinds my gears is how they collect a "tax" every

Its very true. We have lots of people here in South Georgia who “live” across the line in Florida. I'm in a town with high number of transplants and the amount of out of state plates in driveways is probably near 30%. People are shocked when they move here and the cost to register and pay as volrem is well over a

Cant do that here in VA, the state tells you what your vehicle is worth and you pay the tax based on whatever value the computer spits out. For example when I moved here last year I brought a 2015 Kia Soul with me. Paid 16k (dealer demo) for it in 2016. Computer assessed the value at 15k and I had to pay $1400 in ad

I think if you compare to the E60 M5 which I think is fair, then like those cars I don’t believe the E9xs have yet bottomed out.

A 100,000 mile m3 regardless of vintage probably won’t be worth much in 3 years, you’d have to keep the milage super low for it to be collectible. After all these were not produced in small numbers and there were multiple special editions.

Certain cars thats somewhat difficult. On my old E60 M5 a quater tank left of fuel and 40 miles of range.

For some reason I have this idea in my head that Jalops fantasize about a non existant BMW E61 M5 Touring in Sepang Metallic Bronze with the NA only 6 speed manual gearbox. It could be offered for sale and 50% would say CP due to possibility of rod bearing failure and terriple MPG.

For less than half that you can get a similar vintage BMW E39 540i Touring. Theres no question the Passat is certianly unique but is it more than twice as good as a E39?
