Casting a Best Wallpaper vote for the opening hotel room scene of HOLY MOTORS. I became so obsessed with the eerie light-tree-on-midnight-blue background pattern that I actually hunted down a roll.

I find it a bit suspicious that they keep forcing drugs on her - it happened twice this episode (the coke and the pills), which suggests that the other "cast" members are deliberately trying to get her off-balance. That combined with the fact that there are randomly TV cameras installed in the Polk house makes me

I also thought Finn's character was supposed to be connected to one played by Taissa Farmiga, wasn't he?

"I have so much more to give you!"

Anyone else thinking this whole deal is a White Bear style way of getting Lee to confess?

That scene is legitimately horrifying. Still can't believe the movie got a PG rating with it. Still absolutely love this batshit movie - the final shot is an absolute classic.

Totally agree. The "final girl" of the first F13 was far from virginal - she was sleeping with the camp director. The correlation is pretty thin between sex and death in slashers, IMO - it was more a function of how to get people naked in between kills than trying to push some puritanical agenda.

I kind of love this movie because it's so goddamned weird. It apparently boasted the longest death in movie history before it got hacked to death (heh) in recuts. I think the victim was played by Cybill Shepard's daughter?

THE TUDORS. I mean, that's a house!!

It paled in comparison to Crystal Bernard's passenger-seat performance of "Tokyo Convertible," though.

I think this qualifies as user-driven Contant.

The SHM2/HtD singularity still baffles me to this day. It's insane.

Clearly this time of year all accredited fact-checkers are busy working on… other projects.

HOCUS POCUS?

GHOSTWATCH is one of the reasons I finally broke down and bought a region-free DVD player 10 years ago. (Well worth it at the time.) Will be digging this one out for a rewatch in the next week!

It's strictly BYOB (Bring Your Own Bullwhip)

The entire article reads like an April Fool's gag.

I just noticed him when rewatching this yesterday! Were both drinks his? Get it, man!

I was actually living for Alaska's Star-Spangled Godspell Realness on the runway.
