Here is the thing with this sort of ideas from developers: it takes time from their work, for a “feature” that will annoy pirates for a couple of days, until reviews on the torrent let’s everyone know that torrent was uploaded by the devs and has that problem in it.

Seriously hoping no IP owner will ever think of giving any game publisher the exclusive right to hold on to their IP and sit on it, holding it like some kind of hostage while refusing to actually do anything with it.
