It kept him away from mine until the ignition coils would give up the ghost.

I wonder when this will stop, this fascination with $50-60k+ luxotrucks in this country. I love trucks, but I don't love their price. (I know inflation blah blah, but the numbers also show truck prices have outpaced inflation.)

Related note: If you're in the GST distribution area for Toyota, you don't get a car configurator either. They just send to to a region offers site that gives you no control when you try to Build Your Own on the Toyota.com site.

My '07 Audi has the fuel pump icon itself on the right side of the gauge to signify it's right-hand location. I'd imagine other Audis are similar.

I'm willing to bet guys like Red McCombs will step up their financial pressure themselves. Good luck to Tesla, they'll need it.

My grandfather owned an IGA store in rural Louisiana. Loved visiting him when I was a little kid and he was up in his high office surrounded by glass. Those small stores are disappearing all too quickly.

I'd like to see the sport do things to increase viewership as well.

Has a lot to do with right-to-work and unions down South, as all southern states are right-to-work (in contrast to the unionized north and midwest). The Japanese and other foreign makes largely don't unionize.

There is nothing more '90s than a Ford Taurus.

I can +1 this entire post. Why? I did the exact same thing. Maxed out the warranty, sold it as soon as it went up. I also had the same problems.

On my last trip to Dallas I-20 east of the city was populated solely by state police Tahoes. Guess they're branching out a little bit in Texas.

What's their definition of "youth"? Because if its 21-34, I don't know a ton in that demo with the scratch to buy the $40k+ TRD Pro models that are already out there.

My father's dealership had a red one sit in the showroom for months, get bought, then returned a week later for a Corvette.

GST does do that, but Fred Haas Toyota World in Houston usually marks down their base truck a good bit. Been running an Access Cab with a manual for just under $18k. Out of stock at the moment, but they'll have more soon I'm sure. The volume guys are where it's at.

Direct Mail for the win! From what I've seen, this medium is the last bastion of "old school" car buying. They buy these lists of customers from Experian, etc., and fire them off to 10,000 people in their DMA with a wide variety of gimmicks.

I wish them the best of luck. The Titan was compelling early in its life much like the Tundra, but much like the Tundra it wilted eventually to the Big 3. Toyota's latest incarnation of the Tundra is basically just for Toyota owners who will always drive Toyotas. It's not competitive with the newest from the domestics.

And it was so; all during the Season of Audi.

Is that what the cockpit of a modern biz jet looks like these days? Wow. Looks like a great place to spend some time.

Why would a Forester have dedicated summer tires anyway? Wouldn't the OEM tire be an all-season? I would suspect the all-season tire performance would be markedly better than these purely summer tires.

Account Exec: Hey [insert production manager], we got a car for the shoot, it's my buddy's Porsche, it'll be perfect.
