Remember how you said someone sounded like a "self-righteous asshole" earlier in the topic? There are approximately 57 million DSes in the US - actually MORE than Japan's 33 million DSes. And Europe still has more than Japan, at 52 million DSes.

Also, you just made fun of someone for throwing someone out of the argument, didn't you?
I like how you immediately throw handheld games out of the argument because they're not relevant, despite being in the pockets of nearly everyone.
I like how you claim that Nintendo has no variety when they've only released, I don't know, Drill Dozer, Golden Sun, Custom Robo, Chibi Robo, 1080, Xenoblade Chronicles and other such games after their N64 days.
Am I the only one around here who plays games for their gameplay and not just the "interactive art" aspect? Games can give emotion without being pretentious, or barely even games.
Truth be told: I don't really want games to grow up. I'm already uncomfortable with CoD and other such games because they have little imagination behind them.
"Interactive Story," or maybe "Visual Novel." For example, Phoenix Wright is classified as a visual novel.
You're missing the point: GAMES ARE MEANT TO BE FUN. The idea that someone can't have fun with something because there's no challenge is pretty dang pitiful. It's like telling someone they can't watch a war movie without first going to bootcamp.
I'm actually terrible at half the video games I play. I tend to play them for FUN, something hardcore gamers are seeming to forget. If I can't have fun playing one, then what's the point of playing it at all? Why are you denying us "lower" gamers the right to play?
You sound like Roger Ebert. Whatever happened to video games as an art form? Shadow of the Colossus? Fez? Pretty much the entire indie game movement?
