What’s one country or society where racism has been “eradicated”? I often hear claims that go, “racism will be solved if x and y are done,” but I still haven’t seen an example where racism was cured.
Ditto, Burbank is an incredibly laid back airport if you consider the huge population it serves.
Agreed. He basically told eight million people, many of whom were RS readers, they’re fools. Not a smart move for a music magazine that heavily depended on subscriptions back in the day.
Ditto, his “Kaleidoscopic Eyes” book had a veerry liberal definition of what defines a “psychedelic” record. Several hardcore punk records even made the cut.
“Objective journalism” is an oxymoron. The process of selecting which information is most important to run in a story is hiiiighly subjective.
RT's "Twin Infinitives" creeped the hell outta me in high school. Today, I can admire it as an art-damaged masterpiece.
Another famous LSD film:
She's Amerasian.
Wasn't that the incident where Gilbert Gottfried and Joey Lawrence were the contest judges? I recall Joey's face when he saw one stripper's womanhood - you could see him undergo puberty right at that moment.
My dad, an ex-Marine who hung out with hippies in SF's Panhandle during the 60's, thought that Shore was the coolest thing on MTV and he always insisted that I run to the TV whenever he was on.
A hat tip to MTV Spring Break for introducing me to Primus and convincing a 12-year-old punk like me to become a bassist.

He attended high school at a time when AP courses weren't so feted as the Golden Ticket to College. I graduated in '98 and my school only had AP Chemistry and AP Physics. Back then, the big pitch was that AP credits would satisfy a few required undergrad classes for life and physical science majors.
That depends on your definition of "made," and where it lies within the lattice of determinist power dynamic relations but not unlike the hierarchical axiom that negates the general state of "free will."
Gotta love Enlightened White Progressives.
Whatever Schultz, I still don't believe your company's over-roasted coffee and your espresso shots actually taste good.
Twenty-one years ago, this was the only Kardashian the world knew:
During my brother's second wedding, my niece's imperial douchebag of a boyfriend/drug supplier went into a drunken hissy fit over their relationship and tried to walk away in the parking lot with his shirt off and his pants down at his ankles. When my family confronted him he moaned about why, oh why do the families…
"That song goes, 'Ding, ding, ding, da-ding-da." Mine goes, "Ding, Ding, ding, da-ding-da, DING, DING, da-ding-da, ding, ding. See it's not the same!"
