How cheesy.
I never thought articles about random people’s junk projects would be some of my favorite content but here we are.
I do, because it means I’m not the only crazy person on the planet!
Oh my this is the content I crave. We moved out of our HOA 2 months ago and dammit I can't wait to paint my front door teal. Take that assholes!
No. Motorcycles are just fine, and the overwhelming majority of riders don’t do that. The thing is, people like to associate with people like them. Responsible riders don’t often ride in groups; at least groups > 6. When I first got my sport bike a long time ago, I was invited to a meetup of people who rode a bike…
Seconded; one thing I’ll add is that parts are bloody expensive, and even more so as you get into the later years or the turbo - there were much fewer units produced/sold, so the second hand market for parts is slim pickings as well.
I second that observation re: dual airbags; ‘86 was the first year, and my ‘87 951 has both. The steering wheel is identical to the one in the 964 (which followed, but is perhaps better known). P/N 94434780451 (superseded a bunch of times).
I don’t have a photo, but, mine looked the same, too.
1) my 1990 has dual airbags, so I’m confused by the statement about only the 1991 model having dual airbags
Damn, those are badass!
Was this funny at any point when you wrote it or was it as obvious to you as it is to everyone else that your comment is wildly lacking any comic properties.
New vacuum tubes?
Shitty. My condolences
I probably spend way too much time scrolling through the classics section of the Copart site. Though most of them have the “fire damage” tag, it’s sad how many cars have the “Theft recovery/stripped” description. I think it’s fairly safe to assume most classics getting stolen are simply stripped for parts and they’re…
That just fucking sucks. It’s very little consolation, but those parts are likely to keep a few other 944's on the road.
Fuuuuuuuck
Very nice! Here’s mine when I was getting the paint on.
I learned how to off-road in an M38-A1, so I agree. It’s all about having low enough gears. Older gutless autos can leave you stranded as the torque converter just spins if it gets bogged down enough. Never would happen with a manual.
