I’m in SF. My neighbor is a doctor and said his hospital wings are filling up with COVID patients. They’re almost full now. This is going to hit us hard because so many COVID patients need hospitalization to live.

HD is a marketing and lifestyle company. It can, and should, leverage those strengths to create new lifestyle products. They could become the Forever21 of the motorcycle world with fast fashion for the ever-changing motorcycle industry.

I stopped at a new HD shop in the Mission in San Francisco. I was interested in their used and non-HD bikes. The salesman ignored my interests and tried to sell me an HD. I obviously didn’t buy one. They need better salespeople. 

Harley seems to be clamoring for new markets and new customers, and is doing so with cruisers and electric motorcycles. Cruisers don’t seem to appeal to their new target audience and electric motorcycles are still a niche industry with relatively slow growth. Why aren’t they using their vested infrastructure and power…

I took it to mean that those two companies are becoming outdated, which is why they are merging. Not that BW was the electrical juggernaut swallowing outdated companies like Delphi. BW just happens to be bigger right now.

I don’t know if you noticed, but most of those replying to your post don’t agree with you. For them, your logic/analysis/numbers are flawed. I also don’t agree with you. Plus, numbers aren’t just numbers. There are human beings hidden in there too.
