What are you getting at? Are you saying the twins are too underpowered to safely drive on the road? If so, then that’s a silly comment

Agreed. I want to give pause to his well reasoned and rather eloquent statement. He’s earned his retirement a few times over now.
Have your star. Not because I agree with you, just because that was funny
The first thing that came to mind with the one second delay, is that it’d take a human about that much time for a sudden surprise.
1st gear: A major part of not being a menace on the road is avoiding mistakes by others. If Uber self-driving cars were hit 33 times out of 37 accidents, then it seems to me they aren’t great at avoiding accidents caused by others. Why don’t we hear more about those accidents?
As a brief aside, Oregon allowed the same for installing a solar power plant. Efforts courtesy of Cypress Creek Renewables. Oregon seems much more strict on car emissions though.
Easy snowflake
Got ‘em in my 1982 928s. Yeah, they’re effen great!!
I also don’t agree with calling their discounts “marketing”. Rather, it’s predatory pricing, which is illegal in many jurisdictions because it unfairly benefits the company with the strongest cash position. I remember learning about a case with TI in my economics classes in college, and there are plenty of other…
Clever? Maybe. Shady as shit? Yeah.
In 2017 Uber referred to both drivers and passengers as customers. By 2019 that changed for vakuation reasons: https://www.investmentwatchblog.com/uber-and-lyfts-accounting-both-define-drivers-as-customers-not-passengers-and-this-definition-increases-their-sales-by-over-10/
It’s a hard term to search for, but it’s been made very clear by Uber and Lyft numerous times. It’s public knowledge at this point. If I find a statement soon, then I’ll post it to this thread.
Not according to Lyft and Uber. The driver is their client and the passenger is the driver’s client. That’s why this is all so damn strange. Lyft and Uber are trying to take advantage of every scenario they can.
Tony is the salesperson. If he’s not, then he’s an employee!!!!!
Yes, exactly! They are paid for the job, they know how much the job costs, they supply equipment and materials (typically), and they know the margins for their work. You know the margins for building the house.
As employees they don’t. As contractors interfacing directly with the client to bring in money they should. They are essentially independent sales people, as well as service providers, using an app that doesn’t inform them of details about their sales. Lyft wants all of the control with none of the obligations. Lyft,…
Do you have employees? Lyft claims they don’t, but it sounds like you do. If so, then that’s not an apples to apples comparison
Nerd alert! Damn near every comment is prime “nerd alert”!
I would expect nothing less. Survival instincts kick in hard and fast when a tire slips. Hopefully making you more relaxed and followed by a gradual reduction in throttle. :)
Let me get this straight. “Physics” just said that the issue he was having is a huge problem? Who is this “physics” who has a voice and is talking to you?
