Wow, well that’s certainly a *take*. I found the movie to be a beautiful piece of cinema with excited direction from Chon, incredible acting, and a story line that mattered. The colors! The shots of him on the motorcycle, focused on his face and then pulling away to show the action! 

You absolutely have a point about the performative and opportunistic nature of this, but truly, Iranians are so desperate for recognition on what they’re fighting for, anything will do.
