I’ve been playing BotW on PC again for a few days now. Lots of mods to change things up for second playthroughs and beyond. Game is such a damn delight to revisit every single time. It’s going to be hard to get used to playing BotW2 on Switch after this.
I use my DS4 controller and use the motion controls with that in game just fine.
Silent Protags work in games with dialogue choices like Fallout New Vegas etc. Customize your character and choose what you say. Otherwise yeah, i agree. Don’t straddle this weird middle ground, make your characters talk and have personalities or let them be silent and fully customizable.

Yeah this kind of thing has been done super well already. I always play Fallout 4 in third person too besides sniping. Red Dead also has a great option for first person. Plenty of games give options, imo should be standard.
100% agree. But I’m the type to play any game that gives me the option in third person. Options are always good.
why do you think that? You can always view your character in third person in menus. That has already been discussed and shown.
god me too. I don’t want to say it EVERY time people talk about this game but man... I am really heavily weighing in my mind if I will even buy this cause I know I’m just not for first person games. Even in this trailer I’m feeling off cause of the perspective, that part where they are falling onto that glass ceiling?…

I was kind of hoping that if we ever did get another Pokemon Snap that it wouldn’t be on rails this time. Hopefully that’s only a small part of it and they’ll expand on this idea rather than just retreading the old idea in HD.

honestly I’m all for it. The OG is always there if people don’t like the changes or new content. I’ve been dying to see what a potential area linked to that broken archstone could look like since I played the original all those years ago.
Mods are honestly the greatest asset PC gaming has. Hell even console games like Breath of the Wild are better on PC because of mods. A great game becomes so much more replayable when you can freshen up each new playthrough. And yeah even games that were just OK or needed some work like Andromeda can be spruced up…
they definitely are trying to buy your loyalty. Frankly it’s a welcome change to have that money/value go directly to the consumer rather than just marketing or to youtubers or something.
this is the system we are in. None of these businesses are our friend. Steam, Epic, EA, Nintendo, Sony. They all pull their own versions of terrrible shit we can complain about (and we should!)

depends on the game. If I want to play the game on release I’ll get it wherever it ends up. Hasn’t been a epic exclusive I’ve cared about since Rebel Galaxy though.
Why even bother though. Spend that time and manpower making something new. I got that game for free and even though I own it I can’t imagine going back to it in 2+ years. That ship has sailed. Make something new, redeem yourselves that way. Let mistakes die, learn from them instead of propping them up like a rotting…
