The only winning move is to exclusively make all your characters, NPCs, and areas generically white, dont even attempt anything else, just give the chuds what they want.

That seems to be the main problem with a lot of Squares games recently outside of FF14. I want to love the Bravely Default franchise since I love job systems and old turn based JRPGs but the story and characters might as well not exist.

Its totally doable in small chucks, its also easy to ignore the side quests and push through tot he main story and companion parts.
