Whoa, who's sexually assaulting or raping men??? Jesus.

We should keep in mind that Palo Alto is a film based on a book of short stories written by Franco himself. The older man/younger woman pairing is therefore something he has thought about (most likely acted out) before.

It's a nice idea but it doesn't work very well. I'd say it can't work very well.

Not to be insensitive here, but to everyone complaining there's no point subjecting "innocent men" to catcalling bc we aren't sure if they've done it, eff off. As a woman who's been getting catcalled for the last 15 years, I don't really remember any guys asking me if I deserved that unwanted attention before I got

"I mean, it's really haaard for a woman to just put herself out there like that!"

:crickets:

Yes the subway is the absolute worst! I can't even count the number of times some weirdo has sat opposite me and just stared the entire ride. And then I keep looking up to see if he's still staring, which of course he is, and he thinks I'm checking him out so I try not to look but the I can just feel his eyes on me.

The creepy stare is the worst! Ugh, I hate it so much! There have been so many times at a coffee shop where I couldn't relax because some creepster wouldn't stop staring at me with his mouth open. And the tram. The tram is the worst, especially when they sit opposite from you. Hate!

Or just staring at them from a very short distance *shudder*

This is only tangentially related, but if there is one person the state of CT should be helping financially, it's the police officer that arrived at the scene that day. The NYTimes story is absolutely heartbreaking. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/25/nyr…

This is bloody brilliant. I love her just blatantly staring at the guy having a cigarette — I've been you dude, it's fucking weird!

Why? Women who get catcalled are regular women so if you reverse it it makes sense to do it to 'regular' guys. It's about illustrating the behavior not getting revenge.

What a perfect time for:

"Wow, why are men so frigid? They should have just given her a chance. Jeesh, they say women should be more honest but then they act all weird when they do. What a bunch of pricks, am I right?? I bet if she was hot they wouldn't be so freaked out, fucking double standards"

The best thing about this is that it exposes how completely psychopathic this kind of behavior is, yet when you are a woman you just have to accept it.

This is such a big deal. For a black woman — a dark-skinned woman — to get a BEAUTY campaign. Very exciting.

Standing with survivors would mean showcasing their strength and their ongoing battles of overcoming past trauma, and showing how their abuse does not define them as people or make them objects rather than subjects. Is that possible to do with fashion photography? Oh yes. But this misses the mark by miles.

Interesting how it's the nonwhite model who winds up with the violence shoot...

What. The everlasting. Fuck.

The friendzone is actually a place where women keep men whose blood they are planning to bathe in to harness the powers of The goddess.
