Sure, but then say they are not freeway legal, don’t ban them outright. There are plenty of vehicles which can be registered for city streets but not freeways (small motorcycles/scooters, golf carts, etc.)

People do sometimes just move-on. I have a literal one-of-one Larrivee Telecaster guitar. It’s got good provenance, plays beautifully, looks amazing, sounds really full. I bought it when I was 25 years old. I’m now 54. I’m contemplating selling it. I’ve had a great experience with it. It’s played shows; done a little

??? Volvo 1800s are one of the most, if not the most, reliable make and model of that era. And I can’t think of a European (non-volvo) classic that comes close. They’re easy to work on and parts are relatively cheap and available. I owned an 1800S from ~2010-2016. Irv Gordon put 3 million miles on his...

NP. Excellent presentation, acceptable modification, rarely seen nowadays.

Nice Price. Reasonable for a relatively rare, great looking car with a manual transmission.

Exactly. Add to that the MBA-thought of incremental savings = more profit so I can get my bonus this quarter (at the expense of the business long-term), and you end up with idiots making decisions to enrich themselves with zero accountability while the line workers or low-level employees are left holding the (empty)

Its as if... the high end rich market is empty of people wanting 70k+ cars or something and most people now gravitating to things that are affordable (ish, i dont consider 45k base price cars affordable)... funny that. Who could have foreseen this?

If you’re looking for a track rat that you can still drive to work occasionally, but don’t want to build your own, this is a NP.

Honestly, most of the dumbest stuff I’ve ever heard about cars comes from enthusiasts and is best summed up as “there’s only one way to enjoy cars, and that’s my way.”

I’m not anti-cop either. I’m anti-bad-cop. And pro-cop-accountability. And if we expect them to be accountable for protecting and serving us, we need to be accountable to them to make failing to do so a very unwise decision. Both in terms of losing a good-paying career and in terms of criminal penalties where

The “can’t see the forester through the fees” thing almost made me spit my beer out! Good one Rob 👍

NP for the current market. I wish the market wasn’t what it was, but here we are.

This is a VERY clean 2 door Bronco from a very desirable generation. The interior is in nearly great shape, and an aftermarket head unit would be a nice modernization, anyway. Add a couple of 21st century conveniences, like a backup

Assuming the maintenance was all performed by a good mechanic, this could be a nice price from me, although I would immediately remove the trunk subwoofers. I have a 2002 M5 with about 130K miles and would not hesitate to own one of these higher-mileage E39s so long as they have been well maintained. This car appears

My payment is 1200/MO for 15 years ...

1. This person is absolutely insane, but people have made ruinous financial decisions forever.

The difference between Larry’s setup and my own is pretty similar to the difference between a Spec Miata and a Ferrari 499P Le Mans Hypercar. Both will get the job of driving around a track done, but one of them will produce a much more impressive result.

You just taught me a new word. I thank you, :-).

Before our eyes, a kakistocracy is forming, with elements of the Peter Principle gratuitously applied.

NP. Yeah, you can get a nicer Miata at the same price, but you’re not buying this car because you want a Miata-like. You’re buying this car for what it feels like to own it. Pair all of that with the great condition of the car, reasonable price, and manual transmission, this thing REEKS of Rule of Cool exceptionality.

The TR7 feels altogether more modern and different than the old British sports cars it replaced, but the early ones missed the part about being reliable like a modern car. By all reports that was pretty well sorted out when the TR8s were made, but the damage to the reputation was done, and, though a pretty great car
