Honestly considering there are only 12 of the cars in existence I’d expect it to cost a lot more.

To be fair, the actual ProPublica article is better at articulating the real problem.
He removed the vice grips for the photos.
The stuff that makes the person think they can charge more is not on my list of wants.
This thing has the contact patch of a great eastern slug, so I would turn it into an offroader (properly), wherein the paint needn’t matter.
3k and beat up? Sure. Maybe 3.5k because manual and low gear. Almost 8 is old pickup…
Look if you are having a jolt when stopping, you are not doing it right. If AI is controlling a car I want is 100% following the rule of law 100% of the time. AI doesn’t have “judgement” it is a series of if/then questions, not sure if they is the right word, it has no morals or conscience. If I get to the stop sign…
The only reason we disobey the rules is due to the lack of enforcement. I do agree that some things need to be updated. Can we get away with more yield signs in place of stop signs? Maybe. Should speed limits on highways increase and teach more lane disciplines? Sure. But then that creates a whole new set of ‘he said/s…
“Do you enjoy the jolt of coming to a complete stop?”
Isn’t the whole argument about the software is that it’s supposed to drive BETTER than humans???
One has to wonder just how the hell an automotive lifestyle brand founded by the late Ken Block wound up over a billion dollars in debt just over a decade after it was founded.
We are in the midst of what happens when venture capital ruins brands. The only reason to ever sell to VC is to get your money and get out. After they take over, it is only a matter of time until the brand is dead. They will milk every last cent they can. They will not foster growth or innovation.
Can you prove that coming to a complete stop reduces the frequency of accidents?
It should. Automated vehicles should be following the rules of the road, not the bad habits drivers form throughout their lives as shit drivers.
What a terrible idea. Imagine if you had someone that really didn’t like you and they decided to light up your house all night? I am getting a bit sick of the “move fast, break something” mentality that has no regard for anything but themselves.
Tech bros are the modern day conmen.
My point was that the iPhone was NOT an innovation. It was a flashy repackaging of existing stuff. Same as the iPod, or anything else Apple did after the Apple II.
I kinda like it, as I’ve always loved the way these things looked...but it’s about $15K too much. At $5K you could fix the interior/exterior cosmetics further, upgrade the brakes and suspension, and just enjoy it as a fun toy. @20K I’d expect much more than just a bodykit homage to the homologation car. ND all day,…
I really like the idea, and always liked the 131 rally car....if the work was really clean I’d probably eke out a NP. As Rob noted, the panel fitment, some of the paint work, lack of real abarth wheels, etc. is just a bit sloppy. The spare panels included, complete with a gutter guard grill appears alarmingly shitty.
Anyone who does this should be automatically subjected to a full cavity search.
Just when I thought influencers could sink no lower they come up with this absolute nonsense. What a shitty pointless flex.
Since when is 11,000 people a small town? And since when is starbucks the first coffee shop?
