So salvage about 3000 miles ago, rims. That crap exterior and some amount of repair to sell it at what copart said is retail.  Be interesting to know what it sold for.  Clearly a flipper, not a private owner.

My last speeding ticket was on an empty road at 2:00 AM (on my way home from work). I was doing 100 kph in a 80 zone. Not another set of headlights visible in either direction except for th cruiser and my car. Cop proceeded to tell me how he was saving my life. I asked him to write the ticket and save the lecture as

1st gear: time to make the license loss permanent. They aren’t even trying to comply.

And yet the police officer was travelling at the same speed and did not crash. It’s almost as if there was a reason other than just the speed for the crash.

Also if your car is wrecked but you pay to fix it yourself without involving insurance, it will not show up on the title.

I must apologize to all the dealers I thought were shady, unethical and underhanded.  I didn't realize they were just trying to save me money.

In Ontario if you add electrical generation to your property, taxes go up substantially.  One local farmer put up a single wind generator to run his property and they were going to raise his taxes so much that he locked it off and it hasn't turned since it was commissioned.

You forgot to mention that Jesus drove a Honda product (sedan), so logic would tell you that the big three's products (especially pickups) must be the spawn of Satan.  Texas has some repenting to do.

Exactly.  If this was within a couple hours drive it would be in my driveway by now, and I'm a Ford / Plymouth guy

Your Jeep is ugly and you can't drive for crap.

You do realize bicyclists have a legal right to use the road, right?

Every good Texan knows there is no protection in the Constitution for bicyclists, so it's obvious that they are un-American.  He's just doing his patriotic duty.

Ahh, Jalopnik, where most jalops don't want to work on cars.  NP for low entry cost.  You do NOT restore a car like this, you get it functional and track it or daily drive it.

Not quite the same but you can purchase a Bugatti paper towel holder on Amazon.

Had a business trip from southern Ontario to Evansville, Indiana a couple weeks ago.  Just over a 10 hour drive plus two half hour stops.  Flight was supposed to be ~ 16 hours.   My last flight from Toronto to Indianapolis took over 12 hours.  I'd rather drive.

1st Gear: If importing and assembling some sort of kit and re-badging it was "too many obstacles" then manufacturing is not for you.  This was just another vehicle to part fools from their money.

Watch Dark Waters on Netflix.  It will make your blood boil.

But heavy trucks never break down.

Exactly - in inclement weather those roads would be in such a condition that it would be unsafe to drive a heavily loaded truck down the steep slope.

I am really surprised that people are not more upset with the current oil company price gouging, because that is what it is.
