Also a big Boks fan. And also a huge fan of Lomu. When I teach my global sports and politics class at my university and get to rugby, I always start off by showing them Lomu highlights. Creates instant respect for a sport about which none of them know a thing.

I played rugby in college back in the 90’s and when we would get together to watch international games there was always Lomu bowling over everyone and all you could do was laugh and ask each other, “would you rather get run over by Jonah’s shoulders or his thighs?”
