Service jobs right now don’t pay enough. You can see it not just in restaurants, but in stores, too. Most big chain stores I go to (Walmart, Petco, etc) look so trashy right now because there just aren’t enough employees there to keep them neat. Clothes on the floor by the racks. Shelves half empty. It’s like looters…

It shouldn’t be up to the customer, but that is how it works in the society we currently live in. That doesn’t change that both can be cheap.

This has been the custom in the USA for decades and tipping. If you disagree I suggest you email your state representative advocating for a living wage for servers banning tipping

What I can’t wrap my head around is the incredible amount of effort to make a measly profit on these candies.  When you factor in fuel costs, membership club fees, packing and mailing fees, and the hassle of making sure orders go out on time… Just seems like it ain’t worth the effort.
