Right?! I’m sure had she called the cops in Uvalde, they would have leaped into action at the word of a German teenager telling them about weird posts and messages on IG. They definitely wouldn’t have rolled their eyes and halfheartedly poked around.

True and if you were a 15 year old in another country who got that message, would you even know who to call or even if you did what are the chances anyone listens.  

I wanna know what the gun store owner who sold the gun is thinking. Even if it’s the “I’m not responsible for what anyone does after they purchase my product” - I’m just genuinely curious if there’s any amount of regret.

I am a former teacher, and I wonder if arming teachers would encourage more students to go on a shooting rampage as getting into a gun battle with poorly trained teachers might appeal to them.

Yeah, as one of those hated teachers (biology too- double whammy with evolution and reproduction and all that “nonsense”), I recall with curiosity during the pandemic when parents were all of a sudden “burned out” “panicked” and “overwhelmed” trying to get their kids through school at home. And that was with a Zoom…

But how will home-schooled boys play for the  football team? After all, high school football is the third most important religion after guns and misguided Christianity.

God FORBID somebody politicizes guns. It’s not like Republicans ever campaign on the largely made-up idea that Democrats want to repeal the 2nd Amendment and take your guns away. It’s not like they need to be holding, if not firing, the biggest gun they can find in every fucking campaign ad.

The person who pulled the trigger isn’t the only one responsible.  Anyone and everyone involved in the long chain of decisions and events that lead to the trigger being pulled bears some degree of responsiblity.
