Still the best NuWho companion.

Donna’s departure as companion was the only one that had me bawling my eyes out.

I, for one, would like for Bill to come back.  I was skeptical at first, but then she became my favorite.

“Maybe this is a missing story.” He says. “Or a parallel world. Or a dream, or a trick, or a flashback.’

I would bet on something like: “I didn’t actually erase those memories; I hid them! And now, hiding in plain sight all this time, Donna has the KEY TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE.”

If he doesn’t reverse the stupid ass decision to reverse all of Donna’s character development, then her return won’t be worth it.

There are plenty of variations on that basic theme - The Others, The Orphanage, The Babadook, Dark Water, The Turn of the Screw, even The Exorcist. Unsettled parents being frightened of/for their children is at least as flexible of a premise as “super-strong people fight each other,” but the challenge is figuring out

I have a running joke with a friend of mine that the quality of a film can be judged by the number of production companies listed at the start of the film. We’re both drawn to indies and other non-mainstream films, so having a bunch of production companies usually means the film was hard to finance and is thus going

gee, it’s almost like this article was headlined and written in a specific way to drive antagonistic interaction in the comments section. hmmmm ...

This site still does reviews?

I live in a major city and there’s one at our local grocery store, which almost always has someone standing in front of it browsing the selections.  And I’m not talking geriatrics, either.  I think people just really miss video stores.

It kills me that they’ve never adapted it. That seems like the type of story where you could make a really good version of it for like $10 million, starring mostly unknowns.

The Long Walk is on my list of “Adaptations I really, REALLY want to be made.” I hope it gets something great sometime soon. I hope everything on my list does, but some of them are long shots...the joys of nerd-dom, I guess. You never know!

Dear God Yes! A thousand times this!

Hopefully, masking while sick and during outbreaks is now normalized enough in the U.S. that we may be able to avoid the devastating flu seasons we once accepted as routine.

Another one that I’d add because it really pisses me off and I’m starting to see it more and more over the years;

This may be an obvious one, but actually know what you want to order before you pull up to the speaker.

John Astin and Carolyn Jones are one of the all time great TV married couples on The Addams Family

I’ve been watching the Addam’s Family on Freevee (I cringe just typing that word) and it still holds up pretty damn strong for a 50+ year old show. Particularly the episodes that step outside the “someone comes over and gets freaked out by the Addams house” blueprint.
And Astin was in damn good shape, somersaulting

I thought properly socialized people put the lid down before flushing.
