Why would *9* women accuse a man of rape? Do you really believe women want to spend their time this way? That we conspire like this, about something so traumatic, having to do with our bodies, and in public? This isn’t something groups of women do or want to do.

You’re not alone. Those friends are not friends, and you couldn’t have stopped yours from doing it to other people - don’t shoulder that responsibility. Focus on recovering, and making your life work again for you. X

She might. We don’t know her life.

It’s the tiniest of details in this story but I really hate when people accused of crimes against women call it a “witch hunt”. I get that they’re using the metaphorical sense of “looking for something that isn’t there” but words have history and an actual witch hunt was a systematic undermining of women and their

At this point, I believe the person of lesser power. I’ve known too many asshole rapist types in my long life to give any of them the benefit of the doubt anymore. I was just commenting on this in another article. I can appreciate that that would be heart-poundingly daunting, seeing a lawsuit coming at you for such ridiculous amounts of money, but I think Pierce is right, you have to get the word out there or they’re just going to get away with it for decades.

Great article. I work in corrections. It’s simple. There’s always some guilt by the perp if he places himself time and time again in numerous situations. I hope social media puts the fear in these violaters.

Eta: Okay, I went to another site and finally deciphered what happened.

I’m right there with you. A good narrative conveys and evokes emotions. If the main reaction that you evoke in half or more of your readers, is disgust - I call that an EPIC FAIL.

This is what happens when victims know they have no hope of justice through the legal system.

So..... gentlemen....(and some ladies) this is why women do not always speak up.

Send in a tip! Now would be a really cool time to run a story along the lines of: Looking for other ways to spend your money Jezzies? Here’s a list of great books, events, theatre, boardgames, etc. that are run by, developed by, feature fully developed female characters, etc.
