The real money will go to the first person to invent a Nerf magnet.

Not if the plane isn't moving.

"One"? A lot more than one my friend, there's also "The Crow: Salvation" and "The Crow: Wicked Prayer" (with David Boreanaz as the big bad which should tell you all you need to know to know how far this story slid).

When I saw the lead-in picture, I was really hoping the humanoid pig was from some kind of Dr.Moreau-Animal Farm mashup.

The movie did LOOK just as awesome as the trailer. It just didn't have those other things we generally expect in movies.

A. Yes, I don't keep up with novel releases, unless it was mentioned on io9 on a day I was reading (I don't read every day) I could easily have missed hearing about a sequel.

When you say "...in the original World War Z novel" are you using "original" to distinguish the novel from the movie, or the original from other World War Z novels/books/whatevers?

kinja won't let me edit my original comment.

I would have a small quibble with equating Stop Making Sense fashion with RISD circa 1977. Talking Heads members who went to RISD graduated well before 1977 (though probably came back for shows in the early TH years), but that SMS fashion wasn't even worn by Byrne until

The really great thing about some of these costumes that your comments emphasized is how well the hairstyles go with the clothes. Two obvious ones, the 1977 RISD look and the the disco outfits - the actors have hair that totally fit both eras.

(If you were equating or relating The planet where everyone dresses like

It's entirely possible that because my DSL is so slow for everything that I don't notice any additional delay for the Sony streaming - I didn't know that Sony streamed everything through proxy servers, that's a bit weird.

Maybe just the way I read the headline, but with that wording and an embedded video link I was kind of expecting to see an actual music video, not just a brief trailer for an upcoming album.

I agree with your opinions of movies and TV shows an awful lot of the time, but this one I have to disagree on. This would get my vote for inclusion in a 'worst episode of a really good TV show' list (and it has in the past) - but "best monster of the week"? This episode is ludicrous and insults the intelligence -

Technically it doesn't even have to be io9 related. Unlike most of the 'best _____' articles posted on io9 this one is wide open, it doesn't have any restrictions at all.

I can't say that I've ever tried to stream while ejecting or inserting a disk (I generally don't leave the drive open unless I am doing one of those two things), but I haven't noticed problems with the Sony Bluray that I got a year ago. Netflix takes a while to initially start a show/movie, but I'd say that's more

Simple solution - we use the discarded batteries to build a big (and toxic, for added benefit) wall around the country.

I don't currently have any subscriptions for pay music streaming services, but if you like new music and aren't an illegal downloader and/or don't already own everything you ever want to listen to, $10 / month is a reasonable price to hear lots of new music (and lots of familiar music) that it would cost thousands of

You must have been bottle-fed.

While entirely appropriate in the context of this article, the frequency which I've seen this image used recently is nearing critical (reddit-level) of mass.

I amused at people calling you to task for saying "all together" instead of "altogether" while ignoring/overlooking you saying that rubber bands (which are clearly physical objects) "only exist in two dimensions" - or the more obvious fact that the very point of the article (and headline) is based on this same idea;

Not a JarJar apologist, but I have to quibble a bit here. I don't think it's as clear cut which is more annoying because Jar-Jar sits on the age divide. Kids love his zany bumbling antics while (most) adults find him not-quite mind-numbingly (numbing would be a welcome surcease) annoying.
