This really doesn't change the way I use the service very much. I don't have a home line, nor do I use an ATA. I had used Gizmo on my desktop - now, I just try to keep a gmail window open all the time. I'd like google to continue work on the google talk desktop client, but like most of google's development

the ones pictured here do, but if you click on the Plumen link, there's a different style connector available. Why Giz chose to grab the picture of the screw-in style fitting when the story highlights bayonet connectors is beyond me.

But wouldn't it be easier to just lock the... ohhh.... I see what you did there.

@Michael Reynaga: I figured out what my problem was: I copied and pasted the command line arguments from the article. The article was probably originally typed in a word processor that converts - to –, notice the difference? The one on the right is slightly longer, and is not the - character on the keyboard. The

@Rob Lang: There are lots of articles on this including a couple right here on LH, though they may be a little older now. Personally, I always thought the Acer Revo would be a good option, though I'm using a Dell Hybrid PC that I picked up on clearance a while back - works nearly flawlessly.

@Izod517: That functionality has been implemented in The Renamer now, but does require a little extra configuration. There are tons of threads about using The Renamer with The Daily Show around.

@Michael Reynaga: I know this is a bit late, but I'm having a similar problem, and investigating. I'll post here if I find anything.

I just want to point out that you may want to use DirectoryWatcher2.Created instead of .Updated. When ember runs a scrape, it seems to touch every single file, causing eventghost to trigger over and over and over. This way, the event will only activate when a new file is created, and it will ignore all those update

@Pseudo_Hakim: holy crap! AltaVista is still around! I used to love them... Oooh, and Lycos.

@Mark 2000: To be perfectly honest, that was something that, prior to smoking bans, was a known and expected part of working in those types of establishments.

@OCEntertainment: Actually, you're probably not far off. Google can let some little guy develop the software, then just buy them out and integrate it with their systems.

@rubbabiscuit: On the one hand, I don't feel like I'm owed money for this, but on the other hand, it is definitely anti-competitive.

@TurboFool: Opting out of a suit is actually a relatively difficult process most of the time. By opting out of a class action lawsuit, you reserve the right to sue as an individual in many cases.

For the longest time, I manually managed my downloads, and just used my Xbox360's media streaming capabilities. It wasn't the prettiest setup in the world, nor did it offer much in the way of a library or information about my media, but it did what I wanted it to do, and did it rather well.

Be sure to leave a note for your postal carrier: "Don't worry: the wires and electronics you see are part of an overly elaborate mail detection device. Visiting my mailbox on a regular basis is too much of a chore."

@coodgenducta: As a weapon carrier, you should ALWAYS know where your weapon is. It's completely irresponsible not to.

@interrogator_chaplain: That may be true, but ImpulseDrive is right as well - HP laptops do have one of the highest warranty repair rates. Although maybe that speaks to their warranty policies over their hardware reliability.
