There are plenty of places in the US where that happens too.

The US: 350 million people
China: ~1.4 billion people
I haven’t fired up Des-steam-y 2 yet, but when I played the game the cap was like 250 light or something around there. I can’t even imagine being a new player and just being bombarded with everything at once. It’d be overwhelming... bit like picking up a f2p mobile MMO after it’s been out for 3 years. Yeah your…
But that’s what I’m saying. We have no leverage. The western markets are tiny compared to China. And the Chinese government will ban Acti-Blizz’s products outright if they don’t feel they’ve been sufficiently appeased.
Cave? You understand they did this because the Chinese market is ENORMOUS right? Like... bigger than Europe and North America combined? A lot bigger? And they spend tons of money?
That bugged me too.
So my question is this: I played Destiny 2 at launch... original season pass and everything. But I kind of lost interest after the first DLC campaign was released (Curse of Osiris or something like that?) and haven’t touched the game since.
It doesn’t help that teenagers are already primed to rebel against authority... give them something to legitimately rebel against and it’s not a good time.
Then it should be called something different shouldn’t it? Final Fantasy VII Remake - Midgar? Final Fantasy VII Remake - Part 1? Final Fantasy VII Remake - Episode 1? Final Fantasy VII Remake - Apparently We’re 100 Hours of Midgar, Neat?
Yes but here’s where you failed (entirely) to read the rest of it. The original Final Fantasy VII was a complete game. This is 10-20% of a game with no indication on the box that this is so.
It is and it isn’t. It’s more or less Pokemon Go, but set in the Red/Blue world. So it’s a re-imagining of Red/Blue... but it’s Pokemon Go.

This is a good change. The issue with ads really isn’t the ads, it’s the very high probability of missing something on the stream while the ad is playing. But if streamers are going to just do ad breaks instead of pre-roll ads, then all they have to do is shut up for 30 seconds, or go get a drink or something while…
I really wish you’d occasionally remind us what game we’re looking at. It’s too damn easy to forget.
You still haven’t described SotN. It’s the game that coined the term “metroidvania.”
The .hack games did pretty well with continuing gameplay framework across multiple titles. So a structure like that might work here.
It’s not really a question of what they’ll think when they FINISH the game... it’s a question of what they think when they’re BUYING the game. This is misleading.
The console generations thing is the most concerning for me. We already know the PS5 will be announced next year, and just this part of the project has taken a LONG time to make so... will the whole thing be released on the PS4? Midgar is about 10% of the entire game..... is this a series in 10 parts? Because that…
You seem nice.
Well... that was obtuse.
