Selling above cost is called retail. Do you think the PS5s cost Target $500 a pop? No they do not. Target is selling it to you above cost because they’re trying to make money. We call this the manufacturer-suggested retail price or MSRP.

I like the way you’re directly supporting the practice of scalping products that people can’t buy legitimately. That’s just super. It will in no way encourage the practice by making it even more profitable and consistent than it already is, ensuring that future high-demand items will become (somehow) even harder to

Why is it that Mario & Rabbids is always touted as a huge sale when it’s at $15? It happens ALL THE TIME. That’s not a Black Friday price, it’s a Middle of May Because We Have Nothing Better to Do price.

Todd Akin. Yeah he’s a fun one. Honestly you could go on forever like this. Understanding of sex and biology in this country is pathetic.

... Neat.

I don’t remember that but it wouldn’t surprise me.

I wish it were. I was wrong though, it wasn’t a congressman, it was a state assemblyman. I’m not really sure that’s better though.

Remember the Vagenda of Manocide? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

He did a good job of marketing himself as a success, and then he started spouting horrible racist filth. So y’know.. it spoke to them. It still speaks to about 70 million of them.

Our sex education system DOES suck. Remember the congressman who thought you could get a view of a fetus by swallowing a camera?

And Illinois voters decided that they’re all secretly millionaires and shouldn’t be taxed like millionaires. Because people are fucking stupid.

When it comes to “just chuck balls at it” time, I’m chucking ultra balls. But there’s nothing particularly “genuine” about neglecting the tools you have at your disposal. Battle lasting a long time? Try switching to timer balls. Pokemon in a dark cave giving your trouble? Whip a dusk ball at its head.

Don’t forget Quick Balls. You’d be surprised what those things can get you for basically no effort at all.

Nothing lasts forever. I can’t go get mad at Nintendo because I want a new-sealed copy of SNES Zelda on the stores in Wal-Mart. Every single release is limited time only.

You’re saying “bold strategy” sarcastically here, but if we look at examples like the McRib or like say.. Mario 3D All Stars.. then it’s apparently a strategy that works shockingly well.

The logic behind digital time limits baffles me. I guess it makes people want to buy it faster

Stop giving them your money and they’ll stop doing this. It’s really not that complicated.

I feel like such a change in dynamic would be considered unconscionable and even if the individual T&C agreements said that, it wouldn’t be enforceable.

I think if you take a moment to think about that you’ll realize that playing a video game is a lot different than watching a movie... except maybe Detroit: Become Human... that’s basically a movie.

I believe I specifically talked about video game streaming in my original post.
