We've got a ride similar to that at Canada's Wonderland. The arms don't move independently but you do get soaked on the ride.

Apple's representing real life elements as digital images is downright ugly and often distracting. If they're thinking it helps the less technologically keen understand what a button or program does, they're wrong, all it does it add extra chrome that's absolutely unnecessary.
