Off topic - Did anyone else get a “Squatty Potty” ad with a unicorn shitting ice cream before the video for desert rose loaded? I was so shellshocked I watched a 2:45 youtube ad without clicking skip.
Second derivative is negative? Doesn’t describe an actual decline though.
Yeah, just a gut feeling, but I see your point.
I think it’s because of the predictability of the NBA. I can say today with probably ~75% confidence that the Warriors will win the NBA this year. We’re halfway in to the regular season. And it’s like this most years.
Not entirely true:
If they stay over more than 50% of the time, that is too much.
There are 3 ways to read that advice:
It pains me to say this, considering it’s produced by fruit-flavor-of-the-month Traveler, but Jack-o Traveler Shandy has a lot of pumpkin (the gourd, not the spice) flavor and I like it.
Second-gen Legend was my first car. So much fun to drive. I will find another one someday.
You are likely right with respect to the (mostly southern) urban-sprawl cities. But in the (mostly northern) central-core-style cities, money and people are flowing back in, as gentrification is reversing the white flight of the 1930s-60s. Also, if you look up some images, pervious PCC pavements often look more like conventional AC given their texture. Hard to tell exactly which this is without a close up.
Fun fact:
If you can’t fix it with your TV settings, check the aTV settings too. IIRC, there is something to do with overscan in there as well.
MNF has almost always had a different graphics package from the rest of ESPN/ABC. Got to make the NFL feel special (I hated writing those words).
In theory, I agree. However, most TVs are 1080p these days, and the artifacts from upscaling 720p are probably just as bad as the motion blur from 1080i. If only everyone would broadcast 1080p natively!
