Well, that was only one extreme. Opinions seemed to vary a bit, but no one seemed to hate it.

I don’t know, I loved it. I was worried it would go too adult, and while they rode that line really hard, I think it stayed well enough. I won’t say it was perfect, but it definitely had a lot of promise, and I really hope it does well. As for specifics:

I thought it was more about puberty and learning how to handle different emotions than about outright depression.

I know I’m a sucker for all things Dalek, but i really enjoyed this episode. The reveal of the kid was good, as were the hand mines. Capaldi and Gomez were perfect. My first experience probably wasn’t until 89 or 90. After my parents split up and we moved with my grandparents, the neighbor kid had an NES that I’d get to play. Also, that first Christmas after, I got one of my own.

To be fair, Flag is fairly generic looking to begin with. I guess they could have made his shirt more yellow, but that’s the most distinguishing thing about his look, and even in Justice League Unlimited, they did away with it.

If you’re talking about the one next to Will Smith, it’s Rick Flagg as played by Joel Kinnaman. The other guy is probably not a major character.

I’m not sure about the Imperial guards. It’s a cool design, but it doesn’t see quite right. Everything else is awesome.
