Jalopnik is a prime example of why adblock exists. The site is infuriating to use without it.

This is hilarious since this is the same organization that lets Maldonado race.
Parker is one of the most annoying and arrogant youtube person. I wouldn’t mind seeing him trade places with Paul Walker.
I cannot believe this right now; an absolute gentleman of the sport and a huge inspiration to myself to get in to motorcycle racing. RIP & deepest condolences to his family, fiance, and millions of friends & fans across the world.
Presumably ice cream vans everywhere are diesel and people should be dying like flies in the whole world?
They probably saw flames in the rear view mirror and were trying to get away.
This is pretty simple, actually. Every job that both a) pays well, and b) doesn’t require much in the way of independent judgment, is eventually going to be automated. Robots can’t really make complex independent judgment calls yet, and in some jobs it’s cheaper to use people than to use robots. But for every other…
Hasn’t the point of automation always been to make life easier and decrease costs? I’m no industry expert, but I would guess cost of living is inversely proportional to automation. If things become cheaper to move, they will be cheaper to buy. If things are cheaper to buy you won’t need to earn as much. And we will…
FCA don’t want to talk with stupid. They invented the Insurance Companies for that.
I wonder how much of those lights staying burnt out is due to the fact that it’s an utter nightmare to get to headlamps anymore.
I’m starting to hate any one with a M.B.A.
Emergency door release should be more visible. I mean, it is usually passengers, not owners, in the back seat, and do owners need to explain safety procedures for every guest?
So do they manage to do this without increasing rolling resistance to the cars? If the road deforms more than typical asphalt, they really wouldn’t be capturing lost energy as much as taking energy from people’s cars (which aren’t exactly thermodynamically efficient to begin with)
Judging by the way the truck driver just sat in the truck after pulling over, I’m guessing he knew exactly what happened. If a bunch of random people were honking at you to pull over, the first thing you would want to do is jump out and see what the hell was wrong.
Not really, I’m paying for a guaranty of a better seat, I still get what I paid for, somebody else gets a little bonus. Paying an extra $150 on the hopes that maybe you’ll get an empty middle seat is stupid, you’re paying for the extra forward leg room, as long as this new row-mate doesn’t have abnormally wide feet…
Yabut everyone seems to pay differing amounts for their seats. For all we know that couple could have paid more then someone closer to the front.
Too many sold: You’re fucked
What fuckin’ difference does it make where they sit if the seats are empty?
The Grand jury refused to even indict him, and Grand Juries will indict a fucking ham sandwich for being vegan. The standard for a grand jury is basically that if a guilty verdict is even remotely plausible, it goes to trial. That’s arguably an even lighter standard than a civil burden of proof.
Very simple fact. Had Kevin Ward Jr. not exited his race car and walked down the racing surface, he would still be alive. Everything else in this case is irrelevant. If I pull my car over on the shoulder and get out, stepping in front of a semi, is it my fault or the semi driver’s fault?
