When one acts in a behavior that would be associated with a monster (stalking, terrorizing, threatening, or possibly murdering) it does indeed make them a monster. It's not just a lazy or dumb move; these people willfully choose to hurt another person because they like it.

By avoiding calling it monstrous behavior—- because it truly is— it lessens the social impact by saying "well they are humans too". Don't pull punches for shitty behavior. Anything less is unacceptable.

If someone didn't like frracking and sent their senator death threats and doxxed them, would we say that was okay because social activism? No. We'd rightly act like that was a crazy person and distance ourselves from that behavior.
