Spoiler alert: they aren't mutually exclusive.

Thank you for this.

So you argue that media and entertainment have no impact or influence on culture?

Depending on the storyline, I do. If it is a RPG, it is much more entertaining to imagine being a different person through the different playthroughs and classes. Why else have an avatar anyway?

I don't really think being half of the population should count as a minority, and even if less women play violent video games, perhaps it just reflects the shitty fucking writing and over zealous fan service we get for characters. Fair play, damn it. It's a vicious cycle of cherry picking information and a feedback

I have never played Candy Crush, but I have played all of the Assassin's Creed games. I would like more representation in games in general and I found Ubi's excuse lacking.

The Amiga was my family's first computer in the early '90's. I miss those old games...

That is, if you could even randomly encounter one.

I've cut family members out this way, too. "I work so much!"

Hooooooly shiitake mushrooms, Batman. I'm floored you made such an astute guess as to where in NY I could be from! I'm actually from the Thousand Islands region, which is 25 miles north of Watertown. Believe me when I say it: Watertown has nothing on the backwoods people of Redwood/Antwerp/Oxbow. *cues Deliverance

Convincingly enough that it is believable. I'm strangely okay with it.

Kirsten Dunst?

Viggo Mortensen works out at my gym when he's up to visit his mom (who has Alzheimer's, late stage). When I was younger I used to work at a grocery store and he came in (not too long after LoTR was finished), height of summer, and nobody but the clerks recognized him. Super nice, but he paid in ones instead of a 20.

Reminds me of the way they have his "character" in Simpsons Tapped Out game.
