Fully built engine, proper tuning and maintenance.

Mostly carbon fiber, but some fiberglass and body filler.

RS7 Camera Car

A friend of mine used to have a retired caprice cop of the same vintage pictured as a "winter" car. Even had dual spot lights which we made good use on the frozen lakes.

Curtiss V-8 Motorcycle.

Kinda like the Model X prototype but a bit fancier

The big advantage of a flat plane crank is the firing of each bank of a V8 is evenly spaced so that intake and exhaust systems per bank can be designed based off this and make more power than a cross-plane setup. I can get into this a bit more if desired as I am somewhat an expert in this area.

Yea, DOHC Mod motors are not exactly small. I've worked on few - 1402hp, yes, as long as you have enough turbos.

Yea, it looks a bit tight around the power brake booster for the Coyote in that chassis and is probably why it is placed so far ahead in that pic. LS can clear that and sit farther back.

Huge + Supercharger (LS3)

Got one of those but going in SC400 er... SC500

Actually, most of the V8's in FD are built so they typically make more high RPM peak power than low end torque. Most of them are kinda limp below 3-4k RPM. Since you now need about 700-800hp to be competitive in FD now, most of them are built that way.

Reminds me of an Orange Supra I saw once. Wonder how many overnight parts from Japan it took to build.

Hopefully, some exec or chief engineer will pull their head out their ass and fixes this on the next product cycle. Snotty 500hp V8 + Snotty 500hp electric motor? Yes Please! The technology is there, they just need to get their poop in group and take chance.

Congrats to Jeff and the rest of the Kelly Moss team. Perhaps one of the reasons they got picked was they were the first US team to win the Porsche Cup series back in 1994 with Price Cobb at the wheel.
