I had a salesman tell me, about 20 years ago, that a new Civic I was looking at with a friend had "...no spark plugs!"
In this instance, I would not correct him.
I had to correct a salesman once, that was trying to sell me an RX-8 (that I bought). He said the 4 cylinder engine is really strong. I said "actually, this car doesn't have any cylinders." He was like "mmmhmmmm."
Seems legit. Safety first.
Apex seal failure at 7,000 feet OH NOES!
Head gasket failure at 7,000 feet OH NOES.

Thanks for the note. We do more events than other sites but fewer than I'd like to do, so we'll keep thinking of ways to reach out. A Jalopnik C&C would be great, of course.

The car hobby means many things to me. As someone who loves the beauty of the mechanical I get as much satisfaction seeing a hand welded exhaust manifold as someone else may get from seeing the Mona Lisa for the first time, or hearing an opera. The same things that attract people to art, music and literature are the…
I read Jalopnik because of the focus on the odd.
I'm here because I love the daily take on everything cars. Not just tuning your car, or how fast they can go (although there's plenty of that), but what's coming up, and the takes on the regular cars that normal people use.
It's not "come at me" I truly want to know. We've maybe let people assume anything we do that they don't like was some Gawker edict, but that's rarely the case. If we've done something you don't like it's because I did it, and I deserve the blame if there's blame to be had.
Sub-blogs we need:
