Never said I agree with Nintendo’s stance. Just that they are very VERY clear on what type of videos they don’t want people profiting off of and this guy consciously and knowingly decided to put time and effort into making (and trying to monetize) those types of videos anyway.

I'm not saying Nintendo's response was the right one, because it wasn't, but I do think it makes sense. These aren't PC games; using mods requires breaking Nintendo's terms, because you have to either emulate the game or mod your system.

i already did, in a reply specifically to you: god of war, devil may cry and shinobi. others have chimed in with bayonetta and destiny. this is only a final fantasy game because of crystals and ifrit/shiva/whichever ones they remember to bring back.

Every FromSoftware game, Witcher 3, Tales of Arise...at least FFXV had the buddy road trip aesthetic going on. The game will probably be great, it just looks like they phoned it in with the setting and character design.

I am wholly underwhelmed. It looks like Devil May Cry got a FF skin. I’ll probably still play it and give it a fair shot, but I’m not a fan of the direction the mainline series has been going since FF15.

It looks pretty much like every other high budget action RPG these days.

Looks cool, but I really want another mainline FF game to go back to turn-based. But maybe that’s just the nostalgia talking.

Counterpoint: I was tremendously entertained, and count Tetris among my favorites of this young year (and unquestionably among the best of the “videogame movies” subgenre).

Same I thought it wasn’t flat at all, more like a fun romp through the pseudo-history of an awesome game

I personally really enjoyed Tetris. It’s not the most substance packed film, and they do some liberty with the story, but the acting was great imo.
