Fortunately, she's in the original too!

Cause it's absolutely terrible compared to the original. It's like the original with all the sharp edges cropped off of it and Cameron Crowe-isms added all over the place which are grating to the max. Ex, Tom Cruise singing WHAT IF GOD WAS ONE OF US and then the rock version of it coming in over the soundtrack,

If they still look good enough to your eyes, then don't buy it! I never understand this frustration. Unless you just bought it recently, of course. This set costs far less than the DVD set cost when it was new.

Yes, they made it HD. Apparently the cinematographer says he composed it for widescreen originally and wished they could have broadcast it that way. The original aspect ratio purists freaked out, so the fullscreen versions are also in the set.

At the college I work at, we've had a few muslim students moving home because they no longer feel safe on campus just due to the national climate against them since Trump's ascent. :(

I just love that almost no one who says it has any idea of the hoops that have to be jumped through to move there post-9-11. It's not that easy, folks! Unless you're like, an engineer or a surgeon.

Haha, Draenei were so ridiculous in WoW. They were ugly shrivelled things in the RTS games, but when they introduced them in WoW, they were super sexed up curvy Space Goats. James Cameron must have had some input.

I watched Born Yesterday recently, and it was a very nice antidote to all the poisonous BS I've seen from that era. In Born Yesterday, the heroine is encouraged to become much more educated and independent, and this is viewed as something unambiguously positive. Learning is something fun, and knowledge is good, even

I would definitely watch a movie about Leroy Jenkins, Kazaak being kited to stormwind, that jerky guild attacking the in-game funeral, and especially the guild leader in the onyxia wipe video.

The most off-putting thing about this trailer is how they tried to make the lady orcs look hot. Say what you will about the game, but at least their female orcs looked just as mean and nasty as the male ones!

I bet that will be the least interesting failure of the three.

Here's what I remember:

Right, I might have be moderately excited about this movie if it was about any of those three characters, but this just looks boring and contains none of the characters I remember liking from WC3. Oh well. I guess I never played the first two, they were before my time, and apparently this movie is directed at people

Indiana Jones teams up with some English superspy to stop the Vietnamese from smuggling some kind of mystic facemelting statue into woodstock?

She does. There's a long interview with her on the projection booth podcast from a year or two ago (I think it was split between the Shock Treatment and Phantom of the Paradise episodes, maybe?) where she talked about that a bunch. She seems pretty awesome.

It is right on the front cover. I hope he wasn't trying to make anyone think he came up with that.

Umm…no. It's nothing remotely like anything Spielberg has done, especially recently. Maybe something more like a cynical remake of "Spaced."

I don't think the book pushed anything about nostalgia as far as the plot went, but it was like the primary plot device it employed, is absolutely relentless, and seems to be the main thing that hooks people about it :(

Yeah, that was my impression of it too. I liked it and found the characters superficially interesting. Ellsworth's abrupt change into a villain towards the end just seemed to come out of nowhere and be completely inconsistent with his behavior for the rest of the book. I didn't really notice any in-your-face
