Aw Hell No is right, this looks awful. I'm thinking of just avoiding anything that's advertised with a slow, eerie piano rendition of a pop song or old movie theme anyway, though. Add in the bass drops, and you've got a recipe for garbage stereotypical trailer.

I'll try Floating Weeds. It helps that there's a very nice (and cheap!) UK blu-ray.

I haven't heard of that one. I'll check it out.

I LOVED Tokyo Story, but this didn't do it for me at all. I guess somehow I couldn't relate to this story at all, while Tokyo Story was shattering and beautiful and 10/10 material. Wondering what else (if anything) I should watch of Ozu's?!

Men's Rights Activist

I remember early interviews with him where he said he had an unusually large white fanbase for a black comic, and that he usually had trouble in black clubs as his energy was all wrong for it.

Or they could have NOT had Melissa McCarthy as a scientist, as she's going to be roughly as convincing as one as Denise Richards was as a nuclear physicist!

Hmm, is this account a Hillary plant to further the "Bernie Bros are all sexist" idea?

The proper response to his post is a gif of Biff being punched out by George, damn you Disqus!!

An interesting book on the case is "Outrage", written by the guy who convicted Charles Manson and wrote Helter Skelter. It's pretty much just a huge tirade on what the prosecution did wrong in the trial and what he'd have done differently, but it's all very entertaining and obviously the guy has some serious

Yeah, he pretty much ruined Whiplash for me. I mean, his character's supposed to be an idiot, but he just was pain to watch. Like a young John Cusack minus any charisma or likability.

They did that already with "Nightmares and Dreamscapes," didn't they? I think that was the title, anyway. I remember watching the episode about the living toy soldiers attacking the dude and never saw any others.

If you ever want to really fall in love with Brie Larson, listen to the Nerdist podcast she recorded a while ago, where she talks extensively about Animal Crossing. :P

Same here. I liked Creed, and I love the first Rocky movie, but I definitely didn't see anything amazing about his performance in Creed.

The synopsis makes it sound like that, yes, but it's absolutely not that. The whole thing is so understated compared to Oscar-bait junk like "Still Alice" or "The Danish Girl." Saoirse is like, impossible not to love. It's a charming little film, and I usually loathe any and all period dramas, especially ones

They're not the same person, but Brie Larson and Maika Monroe are.

Even when I was a stupid teenager and saw it in the theater, I remembered thinking the language was gorgeous. Their last scenes together in particular were about the most beautiful thing I'd ever heard. A sequel in English is a travesty!

They're not, but she WAS the best part about that In the Woods film (not that that's necessarily saying a lot). Compared to Meryl Streep's off-key histrionics, she was Julie Andrews!

I liked it a LOT and think the sustained sequence in the house with the urinating ghost through tall man coming through the bedroom door is about the scariest thing I've ever seen, but I think it has some serious last-act problems and isn't best picture material. It's easily my favorite score of the year, though.

Not to mention the pokemon that is wearing his mother's skull!! I was always blown away by that detail in the pokedex, it was so creepy compared to everything else in the game. Cubone, I believe?
