Thanks! To my knowledge it isn't Dutch. My grandmas were Charlene Mae and Eileen Mae, so, with a bit of rearranging they got Maeleen.

After discovering this after many hours of internet trolling we sighed and just named our son Henry. I'm sure he's going to be one of many, but at least he'll be one of many people with a better name than say "Jaxon."
My love for Amy Poehler has way surpassed girlcrush or admiration. Part of it is what she brings to 'Leslie Knope' - a relatability in her ambition, inherent goodness, awkwardness, and feminism that I believe stems from her actual personality, funneled through the character. That she's succeeded and is recognized in…
I'll respect you, Mr. Cavill. I'll respect you all night every night. Sigh.
I make sure we watch the first 15 minutes of Sesame Street each day. My two year-old couldn't care less, but the word of the day is sometimes the only thing that gets me through tantrums about not being allowed to put your hand directly on the stove burner. That and Ovejita and Murray.
Have you tried the Green's GF beers? They are brewed in Belgium, and are actually respectable beers. A lot of bars here in Baltimore are beginning to carry them so going out and "having a beer" with friends is actually a possibility for me, now.
I've been seeing more and more gluten free beers these days! They usually have a cidery, bright quality that's actually pretty tasty. I haven't seen any fruit flavored ones yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some more creativity from the gluten free beer producers any day now.
I'm sure if that had been my first encounter with her I would have engaged, which would have completely stalled or even derailed the whole project. It's like you think you're having a normal conversation about kids and feeding them and then all the sudden your in King of Hearts.
Fun Fact, they are now being made into children's musicals, to be performed by kids, for kids. Its awesome.
Lindy, please tell me that this: which obviously means BOI-OI-OI-OIIINNGGG!!!
is a reference to Troop Beverly Hills! It's my favorite!
I love the Anne books (well, not Windy Poplars because I am not made of patience) and it always makes me mad that the 80's adaptations didn't go into her college days at all. I found Anne of the Island really inspirational when I was a kid and it made me want to go to college and have fun like Anne did. I grew up LDS…
One of my dreams is to adapt Rilla of Ingleside into a movie. I adore the Anne series but I think Rilla would legitimately stand well on its own as a film about the home front during WWI.
Nobody puts Anne of Ingleside in the corner.
"Anne of Ingleside" was not boring!! Blasphemy! You are not of the "race that knows Joseph"!
I liked it, too. I never noticed Julia's scarves until they started making fun of them in season 2. And does anybody actually like season 2 better? Season 2 was a trainwreck. Season 1 had its moments, but it wasn't as awful as season 2.
I really wished Smash could have been saved but I am not sure what exactly it was that made it so blah.I guess the script was not that great and some of the acting was kinda funky...I still like a lot of the songs and singing though. Except I didn't like a lot of the songs from the other musical they started focusing…
The article is great but all I could think was: THANK GOD NONE OF IT IS PINK. (That is, what is pictured.) No current NFL (or NBA, MLB, NHL or MLS) team uses pink as one of their colors meaning that *no* team gear should be pink. I will happily buy gear to show my fandom especially if it fits. Buying Youth sizes…
It's always mystifying to me why someone would bother to make a comment such as this. What's the point, really? You don't like the show, why bother reading the article and commenting? It's too late in the week to have a case of the Mondays.
AGREED. I hated A&F when it opened because, even as a size 8-10 in high school (my thinnest - I was a tennis player), I had to buy a 12 in their jeans to get them to fit. And walking by Hollister, which is the A&F for "younger" people, I choke on the god-awful cologne and scoff at the half-naked children on their…
