I agree, I actually think the most interesting part of the Margaret storyline was how it involved Chruch and State and what that meant for Elizabeth.

I always associate disappointment the most with parents, as in not wanting to disappoint your elders, etc. It’s especially creepy and pretentious in this context.

They also have minor children and splitting up custody is never easy, especially when there are (rumored) substance abuse issues.
