I know people in Chicago who have thrown fundraisers for their weddings. I politely refused the invite to both the fundraiser and the wedding.

My fiance has crazy ideas in his mind about what we should do for our wedding based on his limited experience from other peoples’ weddings - he’s only been to a small handful, so when he was in a beach wedding where the dudes wore Chuck Taylors he thought he’d be able to pull that with ours. lol
