Bullseye.
Bullseye.
Only Venus was not turning left. She stated clearly that she was not turning left.
Or maybe the facts as presented didn’t add up and people were trying to make sense of them?
The police say that she is NOT at fault. http://deadspin.com/police-rescind-conclusion-that-venus-williams-was-at-fa-1796736365
She was a senior citizen. White, too.
No, the total fault was applied to Venus because she’s Black, the victims were White, the eyewitnesses ‘interviewed’ were White and that made it an open-and-shut case in the police’s view. http://deadspin.com/police-rescind-conclusion-that-venus-williams-was-at-fa-1796736365 Now that video footage have been released…
Is Jezebel going to publish the follow-up on this article? Or now that you’ve contributed to tainting the name of a successful Black woman, you’re just going to go your own merry way?
There’s a video now that completely vindicates Venus & the police have rescinded their initial accusation (which basically was based on: Venus was black, the victims were white, so Venus must have been at fault... somehow... even though her car was the one T-boned from the side). http://deadspin.com/police-rescind-conc…
No seat belt & driving way too fast for someone whose light had just turned green. There were 2 other cars on that 3-lane road and they were both stationary. http://deadspin.com/police-rescind-conclusion-that-venus-williams-was-at-fa-1796736365
Actually your first assessment was right: Venus was not in the wrong - she entered on a green & the victim’s wife was driving too fast for someone whose light had just turned green. http://deadspin.com/police-rescind-conclusion-that-venus-williams-was-at-fa-1796736365
Well the recently released video footage has proven that Venus really was completely innocent in this. She DID enter the intersection on a green. The other drive WAS moving too fast (3 lanes, the other 2 cars are stationary while this person’s car was FLYING down the road).
And the award for Bigot of the Day goes to...
It's bad because she's mediocre and successful and defies the trope that women need to be exceptional (twice as good to get half as much credit) to be nearly as successful as men. That Jezebel, a so-Called feminist site is enforcing this, lies the irony.
But the writer repeatedly said she didn't freeze up, she wasn't afraid. That's what she said and that's the situation we're analyzing.
