I think Season 3 of ATLA was seriously derailed because the creators paid too much attention to shipping - making sure the fans "got it right" - than telling the story they had originally intended to tell.

I have a feeling that most of the commenters are just playing with their food...
It was a cool episode - a little bit anticlimatic after last week's epic near-Elemental Apocalypse. But there were a lot of neat little character moments - like Rebecca being shocked at Thierry being such a cowardly non-ally - and Papa Tunde (Babatunde?) was genuinely scary.
Also, let's not forget all the lovely little gifs the Marcel/Klaus shippers will definitely be making after that last scene.
(a) I'm not an expert but I think it might have something to do with culling the population. All but the sturdiest boys will die off and the girls who do the heavylifting in baby-carrying thrive. Survival of the fittest, I suppose.
I don't think it's a case of well-off daughters being stinted. From a metabolic perspective, it makes perfect sense. Boys get "fatter" milk than girls because men generally have a higher metabolism and a higher body mass than women.
lol. It really hits one like a sledgehammer in Season 4 and the Quest for the Cure to Save Elena from Vampirism. Kol tries to stop the Scooby Gang from getting the cure because it'll inevitably lead to raising Silas and apparently the Apocalypse (er... what happened to that storyline, again?) So he has to die and his…
Matt killed Finn and subsequently his entire Vampire bloodline. Heh.
In the original movie, Sarah Connor started the movie as an 18-year old waitress and every bit a Damsel in Distress who Levels Up during the course of the story. Pretty much Dany's story in the GoT TV series, then. Perfect casting.
Damon is forgivable and Katherine is not because the only 'objective' morality in Mystic Falls is based on Elena Gilbert's happiness. So Damon can be forgiven of mass murder, betrayals etc because none of those things were meant to hurt Elena. Katherine, on the other hand, has tried several times to kill Elena or…
It seems to be going the other way in Nigeria... there you need to hope that the olds will outlive the current youths and somehow manage to get hold of the next generation before their parents/older siblings corrupt them.
Is this something she says in the book? Read it ages ago and I don't remember.
Please can we spare a few lines for Daenarys Stormborn, Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, Khaleesi of the Great Sea, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons, wearer of the Impeccable White Dress and HBIC?! I thought this was... you know... a feminist website?
By all means, cast non-white actors as part of your main cast... Then treat them like the rest of your main cast. Useless Matt gets to have Melinda Clarke as his mom, we see his home, we know he is a quarterback and works in the bar... Bonnie Bennett didn't get a house or a dad until Season 4. Her mother was a plot…
I don't think Plec would thrive on a mythology she creates from ground up. It is not an insult or a slur - some people are just amazing at adaptations but they can't create anything original themselves. It's just the way it is. I, for one, will tune in for The Originals, if they can find away to get Bonnie Bennet on…
Tan Irish men?
I've always thought so, too. I watched Winter Bone and it wowed me over and despite my misgivings about the casting, I think on performance alone she was the best choice for Katniss. But the Hunger Games was so disappointing. I don't know if it had much of a budget but it looked like a cheap movie. The direction was…
Maggie Q also voices Wonder Woman in the Animated series. #fangasm
Exactly. See the backlash he got for making Arwen more visible in FOTR.
