There actually were some great magazines back then in the pre-Internet Era. Computer Gaming World was one of the best. They really had great well balanced reviews (like Scorpia’s RPG section). EGM? Can’t say but even back then I was more of a pc gamer.

That’s like saying that flat screen tvs were too expensive when they were released, so they will never take off. This is the first generation, prices will come down. I won’t be one of the early adopters, but nor am I the type that buys $400 video cards either.

Wow, blast from the past there. I remember SRAs! I always wanted to get to the end of the box (don’t remember which colors were which sadly). Only got to the next-to-last color but still was happy for myself. Haven’t thought of those since the 80s...

Sorry! I wouldn’t have responded if I saw the others, but Kinja didn’t then show me the other comments but is now. Apologies for the duplication.

But (unless these comics have added something I’m not aware of), he only found out he had a daughter (and that it was Leia) in the final fight in Return of the Jedi. He never saw her again after that so he never had a chance to react to her.

I had Super Ghouls and Ghosts on the SNES and had a hell of a time with it (as did everyone). I remember hearing that you have to go through it a second time (maybe from Nintendo Power or something) and ended up just selling the game at Funcoland the next day. No freaking way was I going to make it through twice.

Well, to be honest, if you’re in a right-to-work state, and not enough people join the union, it is significantly weaker and less able to fight for/negotiate for benefits (such as breaks that aren’t state/federally mandated).

It’s more than just an issue of updating. Flash exploits keep coming up and at least some have been exploited before a fix was available. It is just not safe to use. I’ve had it set as “click-to-play” for a couple years now and only activate it if I really need it. For security reasons, I just want it to die. Java &

Jennifer Hale is light years ahead of the voice acting for ANY main character in any game I’ve played. The characters in Witcher are voiced well, but no - not nearly as good as Hale’s Shepard.

Usually the cutoff is whether or not they have PhD or other doctoral programs. In New York at least, I’m not aware of any non-Universities that offer PhD’s.

Yes, looks like! According to the Kickstarter: “We are still debating the best ways to present combat as that is ultimately dictated by the final budget, but rest assured it will be party and turn/phase based.”

I wasn't terribly interested until I saw that Alexander Siddig would be playing Doran Martell. After Pedro Pascal playing Oberyn, its a hard act to follow but I think he looks perfect for the role in the promotional pictures I've seen.

The sooner you stop the better. Emphysema took my mother at 50 and she stopped smoking close to 40. She always said that if she stopped sooner that less damage would have been done. I don't know how young you are but regardless, do what you can to stop (with help from doctors, friends, etc.).

There leader would have to be either Wayne Gretzkey or Tim Horton of course.

That's Miguel and he's Leena's father. The music playing there that you mention is one of (if not the) best songs in the game, "People Seized with Life". I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't heard it (or haven't heard it in a while).

That was a great commercial, very well done (loved the look of the US map in it too). The images they used for the quarterbacks (with the filters/lighting) really fit well with it. Though it helps that Colin Kaepernick looks like he would fit well in Game of Thrones as some sort of warrior from Asshai or somewhere

Chris Avellone is working on this, as well as contributing to both of the inXile games: Wasteland 2 and Torment: Tides of Numenera (the spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment).

I really have enjoyed this game. Haven't gotten past level 4 or so due to non-game issues but for $5 its an amazing bargain. The art style is cool (and if not innovative, at least new to me) and the music really fits the game. All the classes you can summon give it replay value.
