Unlike actual yellow cabs, these cabs are more likely to pick up African Americans?

There actually were some great magazines back then in the pre-Internet Era. Computer Gaming World was one of the best. They really had great well balanced reviews (like Scorpia’s RPG section). EGM? Can’t say but even back then I was more of a pc gamer.

That’s like saying that flat screen tvs were too expensive when they were released, so they will never take off. This is the first generation, prices will come down. I won’t be one of the early adopters, but nor am I the type that buys $400 video cards either.

The more I think about it, the more I believe that Luke wasn’t giving lightsabre training to anyone (or at least not to Kylo). Hey may have been giving force training only since he didn’t want Jedi to be warriors first and foremost.

Wow, blast from the past there. I remember SRAs! I always wanted to get to the end of the box (don’t remember which colors were which sadly). Only got to the next-to-last color but still was happy for myself. Haven’t thought of those since the 80s...

Regardless of what Jordan said, it’s completely ridiculous to think Sanderson (or any author, Jordan included if he didn’t get ill) could have wrapped up that story with where it was after Knife of Dreams in single book. More happened in the three Sanderson WoT books than in the four or five preceding Jordan books in

Sorry! I wouldn’t have responded if I saw the others, but Kinja didn’t then show me the other comments but is now. Apologies for the duplication.

But (unless these comics have added something I’m not aware of), he only found out he had a daughter (and that it was Leia) in the final fight in Return of the Jedi. He never saw her again after that so he never had a chance to react to her.

It’s possible the asteroid was brought to earth (for mining for example) and mistakes were made that caused it to crash into the planet instead?

I had Super Ghouls and Ghosts on the SNES and had a hell of a time with it (as did everyone). I remember hearing that you have to go through it a second time (maybe from Nintendo Power or something) and ended up just selling the game at Funcoland the next day. No freaking way was I going to make it through twice.

For anyone looking for more gaming history, there’s a great RPG specific one by Matt Barton (of Matt Chat on Youtube):

Alloy was initially supposed to be a one-off side project that would take place before a second full mistborn trilogy, but it turned into a trilogy of its own (since Wax & Wayne are great characters). There’s still supposed to be two more trilogies, one taking place in a time (technologically) similar to our own,

Well, to be honest, if you’re in a right-to-work state, and not enough people join the union, it is significantly weaker and less able to fight for/negotiate for benefits (such as breaks that aren’t state/federally mandated).

For some reason, the image link didn’t come through, here it is:

Just for reference, the art shown is the Michael Whelan US cover for Worlds of Radiance, not the Sam Green UK cover . I tend to prefer the US version since I love Whelan’s art, but the Green version is below and is also very good.

Definitely different but hard to compare. I enjoyed Steelheart and it’s sequel, but not as much as Mistborn (and not nearly as much as Stormlight Archive).

If they get the right director (and involve Sanderson in developing it instead of just buying the rights) this could be fantastic. It is new characters that relatively few have heard of (as opposed to the Marvel/DC stuff everyone knows about) but the approach is different enough that I think it would draw a really

It’s more than just an issue of updating. Flash exploits keep coming up and at least some have been exploited before a fix was available. It is just not safe to use. I’ve had it set as “click-to-play” for a couple years now and only activate it if I really need it. For security reasons, I just want it to die. Java &

There were so many lines in Words of Radiance that just were just perfect. My favorite from Kaladin: “You sent him to the sky to die, assassin. But the sky and the winds are mine. I claim them, as I now claim your life.” Just visualizing it with the terror (not fear of death, but fear of what this means) from the

Any idea what water temperature this needs? It says “warm” but are we talking 70, 80, 85 degrees F?
