The first turn I made in my friend’s 4ws Prelude was nearly over the curb! I did not expect it to dive to the right as quickly as it did.

I wish I could say the same! My Prelude had a window motor die at about 140k, you’d have to help the windows up on my Lincoln Continental and the one of the rear windows on my 4runner sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t (even after replacing the switch). I would have traded crank windows for any of them.
I’d rather have three XR650Rs for that price (one dirt, one sumo and one track). Big Red Pig for life!!
I’m just hoping manual seats don’t disappear like manual windows. One less $1k item to fix after five years of ownership.
Instant Karma: When I was 18 and a completely selfish moron, I was coming back from a pizza delivery and decided to race a train instead of waiting at the crossing. I arrived at the crossing with a lot of speed and my 83 Thunderchicken ended up going airborne when I hit the tracks. When I landed I screwed up my…
I agree completely! I never used 6th in my STi or M3 and 5 was perfect in my Evo IX. To hell with fuel economy, I wanted instant acceleration! Now that I ride mainly motorcycles, I rarely use 6th with those either.
My mom’s boyfriend used to call his HD his “tavern bike”. This was also the same guy that would drive around with a tumbler of Black Velvet in his Vette’s cup holder. I’m still amazed he’s lived into his late 60s.
The distracted phone zombies scare me too, but if I remember right the last figure I saw in either my state (WA) or Oregon was that 67% of the moto fatalities were single vehicle crashes (I believe that was for 2016). We’re still killing ourselves more than the cagers are. Training, not drinking/drugging while riding…
Ah yes, the Sportster is a girl’s bike comments. I was open to getting an 883 iron as a beginning rider, but the thought of having to hear that over and over again soured me from HD from the beginning. A DRZ SM was a better beginner bike anyways.
Yup, the Livewire is the only thing that could get me into a HD dealership. I like the looks of it better than any other “naked” e-motos I’ve seen. Ducati will likely get my money again before this is ready though.
Just pee into a blanket. That’s why they come in plastic bags!
I was 14 and the car was a mint 67 GT Mustang fastback. My step-dad pulled into a park with a huge parking lot, looked at me and told me to switch spots with him. I was extremely giddy and he was over confident of my non-existent abilities. I put it into drive instead of reverse (without him noticing) and almost put…
Riders seem to be taking lanesplitting into their own hands in Seattle. Many riders are of the opinion that if they just do it illegally for long enough then the legislators will finally give it a hearing (which probably won’t happen as long as Judy Clibborn is the transportation chair). There’s also the foolios that…
Last year I bought a 2007 Ford Expedition with 130k on it. This weekend I went to change the spark plugs, as I had a misfire. I’m sure people familiar with this generation of an engine can guess what I had to do...
Thank you Amazon for my overnight delivery of a Lisle plug tool!
By 14.5 I had saved up enough money for my first car. We were a classic Mustang family, so I obviously had to join the club. There was a 64.5 Mustang for sale nearby which was in my price range ($2k), but it had some paint issues. My stepdad at the time had “a paint guy” (AKA - a tweeker illegally painting out of…
