I troll these people. I admit it. I feel no shame. No remorse. And, I get a sick, perverse sense of satisfaction when someone eventually loses it. My favorite has been the guy I made scream at me that I was a lying (female dog) when I said I didn’t have a PC and that I was an MCSA, and could fix it myself.

I was stalked by a violent and deranged man who periodically tries to find me again. I have to be super stern with people not to take my photo or post it online if they do have it. I always give a short explanation: “A few years ago, I was stalked and now I maintain no social media presence.” The usual response is

I’m with you. I keep a low profile online but not a no-profile. But nonetheless, it should be apparent to my friends that I value my privacy. Do not post a picture of us on your public blog and to make it worse include my name. Jeez. Others post every lunch we have on FB, because they live very publicly online. I have

Thank you for this article. People take pictures of me without my consent because I am not seen as “normal”. They think they have a right to delegitimize me as a human being. White military men do it a lot.

I’ve actually gotten scammers off their script twice and talked to them. I explain that I know it’s a scam and I’m not going to give them any info. Then I asked why do they do it. Isn’t there something else they could be doing? I know it’s a scam and I know you know it’s a scam, so why are you doing this? Both times

My favorite were the calls from the “UPS Division of the IRS”. Man, did I have a field day getting them to repeat that over and over and try to explain why the hell the IRS had a division for a package service.

“Microsoft” has called me.  “Apple” has called me.  So far “Linux” hasn’t called me but I’m waiting, LOL.

I’ve never had any horribly embarrassing pictures of myself put online, but I have started to get really annoyed when friends and family try to take a quick selfie or party pic. I have made the personal choice to stay off instagram, facebook, etc but I know that my image and whereabouts are still online because of,

Apparently I need you to explain that to a coworker of mine who got scammed on a saturday by someone who called on his PERSONAL cell phone to tell him his PC has a virus. His PC is a company PC so why would they call his cell # since NOTHING in said PC is registered to him. Dumb ass almost got sensitive Marvel Studio

In Denmark we have an old Lady how also enjoys making fun with these people, she takes the call and when they want her to turn on the computer (they of course don’t care if it’s turn on or not from the start.

She will then about her really slow computer that she need to start up, and ask them to please wait because it

A lot of these assholes have REAL stolen information. My parents called me back in March freaked out by one, he claimed he was from the IRS, he said they owed back taxes, and had their personal address, phone, and a few other disheartening bits of info. Sure enough I told them to tell the guy to eat shit then die,

You’re totally right, all those naive grammas having to live off meager social security checks totally deserve what they’re getting because of what some shithead businessman did.

Deeveeaar once managed to infect a whole call center network with the infamous WannaCry ransomware. It’s glorious.

Sure they’re assholes to the people they scam but these “jobs” are in really poor countries where they don’t have the luxury to question their jobs. Morality is nice and easy to follow when you’re not starving, shitting in a hole in the ground and sleeping on dirt and rocks at the end of the day.

I’ve been watching Kit regularly for a few months now, and the biggest draw I have is how human he tries to treat people at the end of the call, and how heartbreaking some of the responses are.

I was bored one day and tried to mess with one of these scam callers. After a certain point, when they thought they were going to actually scam me out of something, you could actually hear the excitement in their voice. It was sick.

There are quite a few on YT that waste the time of the scammers. They are all real American heroes (or Canadian, British, etc....).

Kitboga is good. However, he’s a bit unsatisfying since he always takes the high road and attempts to guilt the scammer into realizing the error of their ways. Nice, but I need better.

There’s a site called “419eater” that has been doing this kind of thing for quite a while now, except with junk mail scammers. Think the “Nigerian prince” scam and stuff like that. It’s pretty entertaining to read the email threads, although some of them go a bit far. Some of the scammers just get talked into getting

I work in IT, My mom got scammed for 300$. She was so embarrassed to tell me, i got firm with her and told her she needed to contact me first before she proceeded with anything like this. She ended up getting her money back through her bank. The scammer would call her and troll her and say things like ‘ you will
