Well, it’s clear from Syndicate’s trailer you are able to jump onto barges in the river.

Istanbul/Constantinople is literally borderline-East and West, but Revelations be still considered a game with a middle-east setting. Besides,“Western” is a sweeping statement - the “West” is vary varied, as I’m sure the “East is.” So your initial criticism about lack of variation in the series WAS unfair.
You are wrong to an extent that there was some oppression of the working classes. People were forced to work in appalling conditions, disease was rife among the poor and although the working class had a vote - they were basically bullied into supporting whoever their boss or landlord wanted them to. However to put the…
As other’s have said below...
YES PLEASE! I know many people found it a bit stupid but I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially Revelation’s. The co-op really didn’t work that well in Unity because half the time, people didn’t give a toss and did their own thing.
“ Why the f%$@ would you cut everyone’s favorite part (naval combat)?”
That’s unfair, as Assassin’s Creed has varied its setting by quite a bit:
1. Many people are claiming Ubisoft leaked this deliberately, but if they did it was very stupid, because it couldn't of come at a worse time. After the bugs of Unity, people are angry, frustrated and annoyed, so are automatically going to have a sceptical and negative gut reaction to the news of a new AC game,…
Liberation, Freedom Cry, etc.
That because they are very fascinating and interesting, though I admit, I would like a Asian setting.
I would encourage you to lose the pessimism. Wait till Victory's release, read the reviews etc, before judging whether it is a good game or not. Because, you clearly like the old AC's so it would be a shame to miss out.
Don't be so cynical! Hopefully, Ubisoft will have learnt their lessons after the ridiculously buggy Unity, and make sure they test it properly. I'm not saying pre-order it or anything, but perhaps wait until after its release, so you can read reviews and know whether it is worth getting or not.
Should still be fun though. In fairness, the Victorian London setting is used a lot because it is very good, and very interesting, and it will be very nice to see it rendered in a next generation game. Though I agree, I would like a more unusual setting.
Sorry? Are you advocating or annoyed at a Victorian London setting. If your annoyed it, may I remind you that Victorian London is very rich in history, and you have to remember that the country of England/UK has been around a lot longer than America, and the British Empire was the largest in the world...
Hopefully Ubisoft will have a learnt their lesson.
I also would like an Asian city. But London is very rich in culture, especially during this time period , So as long as Ubisoft doesn't mess it up, London should certainly have a distinct feel to it.
Assassins Creed is a assassin game. Not a pirate game.
