I have read both The Circle and a book called The Boy Kings by Katherine Losse and I've got to say there are some disturbing similarities between the two. I cannot remember if avc addressed this a while back in a review or if it came up in comments somewhere here. IIRC Eggers says he never read (or possibily heard of)

We have a beer snob run bww in the suburbs outside of New Orleans, if that is not the one of which you speak then, huh.

His autobiography, for want of a better word, is available online in serialized bloggish form, from I believe rva news, titled Gwar, Me, and the On-Rushing Grip of Death. I was lucky to be an aquaintance in the

Aargh. I have a first generation Nook purchased in store that ended up with a cracked bezel, a well known defect, one week out of warranty. Trudged in with it and was basically told "oh well" by the store, after the clerk dialed the phone and handed it to me to argue my case with some loffshore based hardware HQ. Bad

Thank you. I have been waiting/watching for it to hit.
