That is a good point.

It is the transferrable part that I am at issue with.

I agree with you.

Anyone who has a problem with “patent trolls” really just has a problem with patents.

NPE’s should be legally barred from filing, owning, controlling patents or filing lawsuits regarding patents. I would also support rapid patent expiration ( <5 years ) for patents not brought to market within that time period, and much shorter patents ( 7 - 10 years ) for all patents, no matter what.

Another superlative for Google: World’s Biggest Patent Troll.

They already are...they fund Intellectual Ventures

Are we deleting comments that might criticise an article now? I just happen to notice two comments just vanished into thin air.

Really? over 30 people support the insanity that is Ueziel's statement?

Well, you're insane.

can we stop saying "muh terrorism" all the time?

This is exactly the thing. A watch with fine complications and materials and shit can last forever. This thing is DESIGNED to be useless inside of a few years.

This thing'll sell like hotcakes, you can't dissuade the iCult with things like "logic," "reasoning," and "common sense." Apple can release turds in tinfoil and they'll still buy it

No, you're missing the point.. The beer-tasters said it smelled of goat. Goat.. that's GOAT.

Don't forget how almost immediately after it was released people figured out how to mod or trick the game to play offline, revealing that their server side computing excuse was nothing but BS.

Here's a thought for all the people I always see bashing EA: Stop buying their fucking games. I swear, I see this shit constantly on Kotaku, Reddit, and just about every gaming related blog on the internet. You people bitch and moan about how god awful EA is and how "I'm never giving them my business again"

Would taste just like modern American light beers.

To be fair, looking at their last few projects, it's become pretty clear that Maxis had become fairly dysfunctional since being bought by EA. What, with long development times, dropped features, and clumsy implementation of features that weren't dropped.

Maybe not releasing a steaming pile of dog shit in place of what was supposed to be Sim City 5 would have helped keep the lights on?

In his pants.
